- Soft signage and flag products, indoor or outdoor
Finishes
These are the standard finishes for Flag Polyester. Except where noted, there is no additional charge.
Hems & grommets No extra charge
A stitched hem with clear plastic grommets set at even spacing — roughly one every 3ft as standard. Need custom spacing or specific positions? Just tell us when you order.
Hems only No extra charge
A clean stitched hem with no eyelets.
Pole pockets No extra charge
A sewn pocket on the edges you choose, so a pole can pass through to support and tension the flag. Tell us the diameter of the pole (or the object going through it) and we’ll size the pocket for you.
Rope & toggle No extra charge
A rope sewn into the edge with a toggle — a common flag finish for quick rigging to a pole.
Hook & loop (Velcro) Additional charge
The flag is stitched to a strip of hook or loop edging (specify which). Because Velcro doesn’t stretch, it can cause slight bunching that reduces the finished size a little. Available in black or white and various widths — contact us to discuss.
Artwork
For the best results, set your files up to our artwork requirements. For custom flags, supply 2" (50mm) of bleed — this covers the extra material needed for hems, plus shrinkage and movement during printing and cutting.
Sizes & custom quotes
Standard pricing covers flags up to 10ft (3m) on the shortest edge. Anything larger just needs a quick custom quote — get in touch and we’ll price it up.
Care & lifespan
- Machine-wash on a cold, gentle cycle with no detergent, and let the flag dry fully before storing.
- Take the flag down in adverse weather — dismantle in winds above about 13–18 mph (a moderate breeze). Heavy rain plus wind adds weight and strains the pole.
- Make sure the flag can’t catch or snag on its pole or nearby objects, and don’t set poles too close together.
- Position matters: airborne pollution can gray white areas over time, and prolonged UV will gradually fade any outdoor fabric.
- Lifespan depends on climate and flying hours. For a flag in regular use, a realistic maximum is around six months.
